Yard mosquito check
Before anyone talks about a device, we look at the yard itself: water that sits, gutters, pot saucers and shaded corners.
Mosquitoes often start in ordinary places: a saucer under a pot, a blocked downpipe, a trailer cover that holds rain, a bird bath that is rarely emptied. A warm week after rain is enough. A device in the patio will not settle that if the breeding spots are still there.
On a visit we walk the ground, the fence line and the bits of the roof we can see from the yard. We look at gutters where leaves sit, at the base of air-conditioner units, and at toys or tarps that hold water. We are not doing a laboratory count. We are saying what is keeping mosquitoes on this block, in language you can use.
Included: a walk of the yard, a short list of what we saw, and whether a device, a clean-up, or both should be in the quote. Excluded: emptying every pot for you unless that is agreed, or treating a neighbour’s yard. We quote the property you named.
The estimate moves with how many water traps there are, how tight the access is down the side of the house, and whether a ladder is needed for a gutter. A single-storey house with a clear side path is a different visit from a unit with only a courtyard.
